ADDING TEXTURE IN POST PRODUCTION TO MAKE AN 80’S STYLE PORTRAIT.

I have been enjoying colorful and playful photography lately. This photoshoot was already a blast but then I got to push my creativity in Photoshop and add a texture to compliment my model and aesthetic.

Here is the final product of my photography and post production. It gives me major 80’s vibes. I chose to take all the texture off his skin because I wanted there to be a focus for the eye. I then lightened the texture on his hair. The final thing I did in Photoshop was add two Color Lookup Themes at 50% opacity. I went back and masked the Color Lookup Theme off his skin and cropped the image.

Ta-da!!!

And here is the texture I used from a pool. When I used this texture, I brought up the contrast, clarity and dehaze to make sure I got a defined texture.
