THE MAGIC OF LIGHT PAINTING PHOTOGRAPHY.
When it comes to the magic of painting with light, I love this advice given by light painting master, Dave Black. He said, “If you want a picture to look interesting, only light part of it.” I believe that is what creates the magic in light painting. It allows our brains to create a story and fill in the dark spaces.
What is light painting? It is a photography technique where you are completely in the dark and with a flashlight you can light specific areas of a subject. You need a tripod, long shutter speed, and a flashlight.
While using white light flashlights was fun and appropriate for some settings, I really enjoyed playing with the different color light we had! This is a LIGHT PAITNING PORTRAIT. With the help of Caryn Esplin, Emilee Wright and Zhiyang Tasi we were able to capture this interesting image!
