After working 16 hours down at Riverfest, the only thing I wanted to do was photograph the fireworks. It was super fun until the sprinklers came on and hundreds of people were screaming and running around. 😂
In the stress of working all day, I could not find my tripod when the fireworks began so I made one out of a step stool, empty box, and my shoe. I used the step stool and box to get some height and then my shoe to angle the camera up towards the sky. The pictures turned out but were very crooked. Because of the sprinklers, there were also water drops on my lens. I was so sad when I realized. I tried to cover some up with photoshop but just accepted that I learned a lesson.
The Melaleuca Freedom Celebration is (in my opinion) the best firework show in the nation. Here are the pictures I snapped from the event.
This is my favorite holiday of the year and I was proud of the pictures I capture. Can’t wait until next year!
